Properly take the measurements of your rifle
for a custom cover
A perfectly fitted cover always starts with the right measurements.
At Atelier Cuvelier, we design custom rifle covers, intended to protect your weapon while taking into account its specificities. Because every rifle is different, a few measurements and pieces of information allow us to better understand your needs and create a cover suited to your equipment.
Do you wish to order a personalised cover? Here are the elements to communicate to us to prepare your project.
1. The total length
This is the main measurement: take the total length of your rifle, from the end of the stock to the end of the barrel or the most advanced accessory.
This measurement gives us an essential first indication to determine the length of your future cover.
2. The length of the optics
Is your rifle equipped with a scope? Please also indicate its length.
This information helps us to take into account the bulk of the optics when designing your cover, in order to provide a suitable fit for your configuration.
3. The maximum width
Measure the widest part of your rifle, taking into account any protruding elements that need to be accommodated in the cover.
This measurement is particularly important for wider stocks or equipment that alters the profile of your rifle.
4. The specific features of your rifle
Every detail counts in the creation of a custom cover. To help us identify your configuration, please specify if your rifle has:
A thumbhole stock (thumbhole stock) ;
A bolt-action (bolt-action).
5. Accessories to consider
Is your rifle equipped with accessories? Please let us know!
Some equipment can significantly alter the overall bulk. To design a suitable cover, please specify the following elements:
Bipod: indicate its length or size, ideally when folded, as well as its position on the rifle.
Sound moderator: please provide its length and diameter.
ShotKam or offset ShotKam mount: specify the model and type of mount used.
Uncertain about the measurements?
Don't worry: we are here to assist you.
Send us your measurements along with some clear photos of your rifle, ideally from the side and, if possible, from above. These elements will help us better understand its configuration and verify the necessary information before starting production.
Our team is at your disposal to guide you through this step and answer your questions.
